We started sunshine kids cottage with a simple goal in mind: to create a learning environment through play and fun to support a child’s overall development. It is neither rigidly structured school nor is it a simple baby-sitting service. But an attempt to provide some interesting activities and teach some skills in a comfortable familiar home environment.

Hi, I’m Priyanka Kumari! Working with children has been one of the greatest joys of my life—I’ve spent years nurturing, guiding, and learning from little ones. At Sunshine Kids Cottage, we believe every child shines in their own unique way. That’s why we focus on creating a safe, joyful space where curiosity, kindness, and confidence bloom.

Our Team

At Sunshine Kids Cottage, we’re a passionate team of caregivers, educators, and childhood development advocates, united by one shared mission: to help every child shine. Each member of our team brings unique experience in early childhood education, with a deep understanding of what it takes to create a joyful, nurturing, and safe environment for young learners.

All of our caregivers meet or exceed California state requirements to work in a licensed daycare setting, including:

Early Childhood Education (ECE) units in courses like Child Growth and Development, Child, Family & Community, and Curriculum and Development.
Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification
Mandated reporter training (for identifying and reporting child abuse)
Background clearance through the California Department of Justice

Together, we blend professional training with heartfelt care to support the emotional, physical, and cognitive growth of every child in our care. We’re not just caregivers—we’re partners in your child’s first big adventure.

Our Activities

Unlike other daycares, we do not glue your child to a screen because we believe a child success comes from meaningful, hands-on experiences that spark imagination, curiosity, and joy. At Sunshine Kids Cottage, we believe childhood is a time for exploration—so we fill our days with art, music, movement, outdoor play, and discovery-based learning that helps every child grow with confidence.
